when you consider the sheer volume of visitors to bali,which after all is still closer to being third world generally,despite the westernisation of the resort type areas,the incidence of serious occurrances of mass sickness is relatively small,many people get stomach bugs just travelling interstate,so when people travel to a hot humid location,change there dietry and alcahol regime significantly,there is almost certain to be more than a few who have an adverse reaction.you don,t often see the departure lounge teeming with people vomiting and cramping unable to reach a toilet
