Just back from 10 wonderful days in Seminyak and Legian.
Left 12th Jan AA 4.50am flight. This was a planned girly trip. Seven of us stayed at Villa Suar 2 in Seminyak (off Drupadi)for 4 nights.
This villa was totally awesome.
List of things we did and restaurants we ate in:
Dinner- Ginger Moon-Fantastic food and so well priced
Dinner- Mama Sans- Although we had booked they did not have us listed. Took 3 days to get the booking however the owner was fantastic. He sorted the table for us. We all had entrée, main meal and shared some desserts. This was a lovely dinner costing around $40 per head.(including 1 cocktail each)
Dinner- Mykinos- A greek restaurant that did little to excite me. Food pretty average in my opinion.
Lunch-Zucchini- This is the best kept secret. The salads and juices are to die for. Cost under $10 for a choice of 3 salads and a fresh juice. Well recommended.

After 4 days, four of the girls returned home and three of us moved to Legian. Next stop was the Padma hotel where my husband flew in for another 6 days. It has been over 20 years since I first stayed here. The staff are helpful and the rooms are cleaned well. We stayed in the deluxe chalet which was fine.

Meals- Teppinyaki at the Padma Hotel. This was a lovely meal costing around $30 per head. Well recommended
Metis- This is a lovely fine dining restaurant in Seminyak. This place is very busy and the meals were lively however a very hot place to sit for a long time.
French Restaurant on Legian St Seminyak. I cannot remember the exact name as I had a few wines in me on this night. The food and service is sensational. Wine a little expensive but I guess we were eating in a French fine dining rest.
Mozzarella- We ate at both the one on the beach and in Padma St. Both meals were excellent value for money. Especially the ribs.

One eating place that is still good food and value for money is Rama Garden on Padma St. I had the best Mee Goreng of my whole holiday.

Did the usual shopping at Bali Galleria, Centro and Matahari. Found the makeup colours in Revlon and Maybelline a little harder to find, however the Guardian Chemists had a good stock of Maybelline.

Last but not least I was happy that we did not get sick on this trip despite running into lots of people who had not been well.

Hope you enjoyed the read

Cheers
