Have planned a trip for December but have had such a stressful year and so has my sister with her hubby passing away suddenly earlier this year that we decided on a spur of the moment trip.
Started off not so good, almost didn't get on the plane. Woke up in the morning violently ill. Got to the airport and could not stop vomiting. Had my emesis bag to my mouth permanently and honestly thought there was no way I would be allowed to board the plane. There is a chemist at the airport so I went in a got some anti-emetics, took them and within 20 minutes vomiting stopped.
Flight good, started feeling ill again so popped some more pills and all ok.
Got to Grand Istana Rama where we stayed for 6 nights. I really like it here, close to the beach, close to shops and for what we paid good value.
I had booked to have a double blepharoplasty in December but was able to change it for the day after we arrived this trip.
After much research I decided on Dr Murino as had read many good things about his work.
The day of surgery I almost chickened out but after meeting some ladies at his clinic and being reassured I went ahead. The whole procedure took around 2 hours and was not too bad. I left there looking like I had done 12 rounds with Jeff Fenech! There was no pain just a little discomfort. The next day eyes very red and swollen and some bruising. I made sure I wore my big sunglasses!
Spent the next few days just resting and chilling out.
We then moved on to Jocs hotel. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The towels were the dirtiest I have ever come across. We went up one morning to use the rooftop Jacuzzi and there were used condoms scattered all around the Jacuzzi so we never used it YUK! Then 3AM one morning some guy was banging on our door, told him to go away and he did but the same thing happened again the next morning at 1AM so not sure what that was about. Terrible place and just another concrete jungle, I preferred the Istana Rama as the gardens there are gorgeous and our room was right across from the Banyan tree, so relaxing in the morning sitting on the veranda and watching the squirrels in the Banyan tree.
We didn't really do much for the rest of the trip except chill out, watch DVD's and go out for meals.
Went back to Dr M a week later to have stitches removed, all good. Still a little red and swollen but I could see an improvement. Now that I am home and 2 weeks have passed the results are amazing. I had heavy hooding on my top lids and large bags under my bottom lids. Now you can see my top lids and there are no bags on the bottom, I can't believe how good it looks and wish that I had done this years ago! Anyone thinking of having this done I say go for it.
This trip was over so quickly and before we knew it we were home. But it was a much needed break for both of us. As I said my brother in law passed unexpectedly earlier this year and it has been so hard on the family especially my sister. She was able to have a few laughs in Bali which has not happened much this year. A couple of times we actually laughed so much we were crying which was good for both of us. I have had a lot of stress due to work so it was nice to be able to get away and forget about it even if it was only for 12 days.
