We are here for over 3 weeks so decided that the first week or so we would get the must do's done or at least started.
Off to Seminyak Sq to see if we could find the place selling Moroccan/argan oil. Found the sup upstairs but double the price of Australia. Went for a walk from there down to the flea markets. Bought a couple of 'bling bling' things. Footpaths under construction in the area and will be good when finished. Up the road to Coco supermarket. Found the Moroccan oil. Same price as Aust. Supposed to be good for skin and hair.
Stubbie holders. Visited 'Golden Key' in Padma street. Was not impressed. Attitude and cleanliness. Walking down the street could another place. 100 stubbie holders. Printed logo and words. Three different colours $1.30ea. Price varies on amount of colours. Also 100 bumper type stickers. 30 cent each.
Shirts and screen printing. Recommended to Bali Brumby behind bubba Gump. Wanted business type shirts. Cotton, two pockets with logos and screen printing on rear. They have to make logos etc by scanning a shirt I took. Very big sizes required. Ordered 12 @ about $25 AUD each. Cost will come down because the this lot has extra cost for making logo. Also ordered 4 xxxl polo shirts. With screen printing on the rear. Cost about $11 each.
Put in our list for DVD to memory stick. Told that several will have subtitles on. Even the DVD has it permanent. Ready for pickup after 2 days.
Bali Mal Galleria. Hard to get to now with new tunnel/flyover. No tight turns at roundabout, that is not there anymore. Must go about 2km on bypass road, do a u turn and come back. The usual 20,000 in a Bluebird is now about 40,000. Extra price for fuel but an increase. Had my retail therapy in Ace Hardware.
Also have done the other regulars. Geneva - cleaned up since our last visit -good. Krishna - nothing changed since our last visit. Still. Good for a look. Hawaii - first time as it had been mentioned on BTF. Similar to Krishna but a lot more souvenir stuff of a better quality. Hardy's Sanur. First time in 18 visits. Some prices up and some down from Kuta prices. Same - Same but different.
Found Gillette Fusion razor blades this trip. Never seen before. 4 pack $12, about $25 in Oz.
That will do for the moment. Now time to relax. Still have dinner cruise and possibly a couple of days on lombok, but finding accommodation somewhere we have not been before is a problem. Any suggestions. Not expensive, where we can get a driver for a day trip/tour
