Day 6 - Gilli T: slept through the 5am call to prayer (must have been a bit exhausted after the snorkelling adventure lol), up then packed suitcase, breakfast on the beach again, check out, then the long walk back to the boat company office to confirm our seats on the boat back to Padangbai. This time managed to get comfy seats at the front of the boat so a much more comfortable return trip. We did drop off and pick up passengers on Gilli Air and Lombok before heading for open waters. Arrived back at Padangbai, onto shuttle bus and back to Champlung Mas in Legian at approx 2.45pm.

We then caught up with our good friends (K&S) who had arrived the day before and were staying at the same hotel. This required duty free drinks on the balcony as we had a lot of catching up to do. It's sad because we actually live in the same suburb back in WA, but with work and family committments, we never seem to be able to get the time to catch up. We have to organise a trip to Bali to do that lol. As arranged earlier, dinner and a show at Legends on Garlic Lane tonight. What an awesome night that was, bbq meal, 3 plucka ducks consumed, and lots of dancing, drinking competitions (women & men), appearances by Elvis dressed in full costume who rode into the restaurant on a motorbike and even Michael Jackson. A great night had by all.

Day 7: Mostly a pool day, then walked to beach bar at the front of Jayakarta for sunset Bintangs. We ordered aussie coin new style pendant, engraved with name so will come back tomorrow to pick up. Seems we were up that way, we decided on dinner at Seaside, a favourite of ours. I ordered the Vietnemese spring rolls which are to die for, fajitas and of course a strawberry slushie with a shot of vodka on the side. Gee life is good....

Day 8: A late start this morning, booked to go to Biku Teahouse for lunch today, couldn't fit us in until 1.30pm, oh well. Feeling very hungry by then, so thought I'd order Vietnamese spring rolls (not as nice as Seasides) and also a club sandwich. Be warned, the meals here are huge, it was a struggle to get through but I still managed to fit it all in!! Also ordered a cold lemongrass & ginger tea which was heavenly. We've only ever had the high tea here so we were very impressed with our meals and have decided it will be on our must do list for next time.

Taxi back to the end of Double 6, then walked to Jayakarta beach front on the way home to pick up pendant and of course had to have a few Bintangs, very happy with the pendant, complete with leather cord strap. We walked back to hotel as we needed to walk off our huge lunch at Biku.

Dinner tonight is brazillian bbq at well known hotel. We were picked up the hotel shuttle bus (looks like a large golf buggy) so lots of laughs on the way. We had a brief look around the new stage 3 and it looks amazing. The bbq was fantastic value for money. The chef walks around with a huge skewer of meat, serving everyone along the way. I liked their 'stop & go' card system, they will keep putting meat on your plate until you turn over your card to the red side, which means stop of course. Excellent value for $10. Another fun ride on the shuttle bus back to hotel.
