These days you will be lucky to get a fare under 2800.00 from Melbourne. That is still very good I think. Once in a while you can find a great deal, i still try for under 2000.00 Using points is a good way to go BC, last year they had BC FF points at the cost of Econ points. I did that quick smart:) The planes are a vast improvement, the BC seats are huge and lie flat, the early BC was really just premium economy.
