I have also booked with Jetstar and purchased the 25 kilo of luggage to take over. I am going with my partner and we have the 10 kilo carry on each and I booked the 25 kilo booked luggage just in my name. For my 25 kilos, I plan to take 2 suitcases over as we both need a suitcase each for the way back. I have been thru all terms and conditions about check in baggage on Jetstar website and 'nowhere' do they say there is a limit of the amount of bags you can take . IF Jetstar do kick up a stink about number of bags then I plan to create a real big stink at airport and will very loudly state that they do not list any restrictions on their website therefore I should be able to take as many bags as I like weighing up to toal of 25k. I am heading over in 2 weeks so I will soon know what the answer is and can give u a definite answer when I get back. I have heard a rumour that you cant take duty free alcohol in carry on so I need to find out about that as well.
