My husband and I did WWR last November (not for the first time either) and we are both 60 or so, we went with Alam Amazing Adventures (Telaga Waja River) and it was terrific. Some steps down through rice paddies but not steep and then about 10 at the end up to the restaurant and then an easy walk through another rice field and slight incline (very slight) to the road. Rafting trip was great and is longest on the river. They were great, you can buy at any of the booths in Kuta/Legian but there are special booths that sell this company, one is on Padma Utara just near the Melasti Beach Resort but really they aren't hard to find. I think we paid about 350,000rupiah each but could prob have gotten it cheaper. Had a ball, the steps at the end of some of the WWR are the most demanding part!!!
There is a drop of about 4 metres over a dam wall towards the end but you don't have to do it if you don't want to, you can get out and go down the steps and get back in the raft at the bottom. A great day out and the lunch is pretty good too. Enjoy,. Karen
