Just wondering how Sanur is as I gave the Philippines a try last January instead of Bali. Being from western Canada that usually is the worse winter can deliver, so I choose to take my 4 week journey to SE Asia. Rather sad when I heard the Bonsai Café and the Piccadilly restaurant were closed. Pretty sure I stopped by the café for coffee/beers/meals daily up at the bar....the conversations were always great with the regulars and the wifi usage was good to give my friends back home shoveling snow a hard time with pictures from Sanur's beach walkway. Please tell me Sanur hasn't lost it's charm. Is the Mona Lisa still operating? Never had a bad meal there and the staff were always friendly to chat with.
I'm thinking of returning back to Bali and hit Sanur for a week or more in mid January. Any info would be great. I stayed in the Griya Santrian to the Respati, or Little Pond to the Swastika Guest House....doesn't matter, loved them all!
