Evac ins insurance. For minor it depends, I had a few visits to Sanglah this year for rabies vacs and they were 50,000 IDR each, BIMC had run out and at Surya Husada they wanted 1.2 million per vac (you have to go 3 times). I've never waited longer than 5 minutes at Sanglah.

A friend needed stitches the last month but we were just meeting for a surprise birthday party so another friend did the stitches for her at the table in the restaurant, very good job, 5 stitches in her hand and it has healed up nicely. We vaccinate our animals ourselves at home and they have all been desexed at home, on the coffee table, we do what we need to do. Actually much easier here as you can get everything over the counter, you can also go to Prodia Pathology and get your own bloodwork, x-rays done, which is cheaper than getting it at a hospital where a full checkup is usually just bloodwork and xrays, scans etc anyway.. It depends on who you are, we have medically trained expat friends so we are lucky.

My comment on hooliatwo's comment on BIMC, was that I don't know expats that go there, I did not say it wasn't good for tourists, if they have insurance as it is VERY expensive.
