My driver told me that older US notes, pre 2006 are not accepted in Bali, Thailand yet were accepted back in the US.
I found out that 1996 is the worst year with the code CB on the US note, hotels won't touch them as they cannot be changed at the bank.
I usually carry Aud 50 and 100 dollar notes and have never had a problem. I wouldn't of thought pound notes were a problem.
