Renos at MBR look like they will be completed by the end of this month. They are magnificent and I cannot get over how a scruffy looking lot of workers in thongs with practically no power tools can build such a structure. They even have not got a concrete mixer and all the minor concrete works are mixed by hand.
The corner restaurant is being extended into the fairy shop. The fairy shop will still be there, but much smaller. The Adika Sari monstrosity looks like it will take many months to complete, and with the look alike housing commission hotel over the lane that part of Jalan Padma Utara is ruined.
