I completely agree, but if i do decide to tip, I am interested to know what a minimum tip could be, so it is not offensive.
For example, I helped a mate with his tax return. I did not expect any gift or money. But if he handed me $2 I would be insulted. If he bought me lunch, (or did nothing at all), I would be happy.
What could a Balinese person buy with 1k. Or 2k. or 5k ??? Is it worth something to them? Probably a small meal for 5k??
