Both sides of Sulawesi St have fabric shops. Mostly they are ornate polyester fabrics for making ceremony dresses and some furnishing fabrics. So I had the wander into all of them looking for 100% cotton which is what is generally used for quilting. I did find some lovely batiks for $2-$5 metre compared to $15-$25 at home. The fabrics are only 1.15 m wide whereas they at 1.4m in Aus so had to but a little more.
