There is a small machine, which plugs in comes with a jar of liquid, costing total about RP30/40 and lasts about one month 24/7 or two months if you turn off day-time. They come from Rid or other brands; just ask for 'mesin melawan nyamuk' and Bob's your Auntie's hubby.It has a sweet odour for 5 minutes but after that, no smell as it quietly does its job.
We find that this thinggymajig bars the mozzies at the door and you are moz-free for your visit in the room; in fact you can probably use it at home, where the machines cost much more. Not good for outside, where you can still use the coils, which room-staff will supply, calling them 'Spiral', for your evening sips on the Balkon. These coils, now probably scented are Buffalo or Cow-poo, suitably dried and sanitised.
