Hello good people of the BTF.

I am organising a short trip in July next year with a friend and our two daughters (aged around 7).

I have never stayed at the KP, but read great things about it on here. I think I'd really like it because the location looks great and I like hotels with Balinese gardens. Also, the price is reasonable.

I am suggesting to my friend that we stay at the KP in either interconnecting rooms or an ambassador suite (we may want to share a babysitter so rooms that connect would work best so the babysitter can watch tv while the kids sleep in another room).

The only thing I'm worried about is that my friend is a bit snobby about style. She would probably love to stay at the W, if you're wondering what I mean by that. I, on the other hand, am too tight to spend hundreds on a hotel room.

The photos of the KP rooms on their website are very nice, but I have also seen photos of the ambassador suites (from doing web searches) that look a bit strange and dated. Also, I have read mixed reviews about the rooms at the hotel.

So, to cut to the chase: are the ambassadors kind of like the room photos on the website or something completely different? Also, if we don't take the suite, are there any interconnecting rooms you'd recommend, ie in any particular building, as being nice fresh rooms?

Finally, which building / rooms do you think are best for youngish kids who will probably want to spend a lot of time in whichever pool has kids in it? Having never been there before, I am having trouble choosing a building.

Any advice appreciated!
