Pay in Aust $ and get change in RP. We usually use a $100 note and get the change in RP and gives you change for taxi ETC.
Last Friday I was at a Post Office Agency (A big shop) woman was getting a quote $132Aud to buy $100US. The exchange was $112 and PO charged a $20 fee for transaction. The very small amount you would loose in Bali is minimal compared to the Post Office Agency. Drive to a Proper Post office, pay fuel etc to evade the $20 and it all works out to be the same.
