of great and reasonable restaurants in that area.
However "upmarket" doesn't necessarily mean "more expensive" so i am not sure if you mean you dont want to go to an expensive place or not??
2 of my favourites are Nirwana and Warung Eny's cheap and welcoming
There is also French Kitchen, quaint with lovely food.
Thai Corner - not bad- but my child isn't a fan
The Deck - cheap seafood nights
Bonita's - another favourite, purely for people watching haha
Petitenget - looks hip but it is actually quite reasonable for food
Plenty of places on Batu Belig
and lots of little local Warungs dotted along the Jalan which i could never give you the name of because i just go there and dont really take any notice :)
It is my favourite area and you will find plenty of places to enjoy!
