public boat to Trunyan, there are fixed prices, its generally per boat so if you are only a few people wanting to catch the boat it can be expensive, last time I looked it was 750,000IDR per boat (before fuel increase). Then when you get to Trunyan you have to get to Kuban which is the cemetery by a private boat, that is when you need to negotiate with the locals. Good luck with that on your own as Pak Wayan our only cop is at the Kedisan end to make sure you are not ripped off there and get a life jacket etc (if he's not asleep at his desk that is). At the Trunyan end you are on your own to deal with them. Any price goes but I know the real price would be 50,000IDR, but that's for a return trip and who knows if you will return. Sorry to sound so cynical but one of my husbands friends is from Trunyan and he wont even take us there. You cannot drive to Trunyan, there is no road. The locals have apparently turned it into a bit of a theme park, doing Thriller impersonations, zombies coming out the jungle to scare the tourists etc, if you do get there are back make sure you video it for all of us.
