I haven't done a lot of price comparisons but what I've noticed with smart phones and better cameras etc is that they're not much cheaper than home, if at all. Basic phones can be picked up cheaply, but you can get them for similar prices at home too.
If you're spending about the same, you'd be better off getting it at home as you won't have to pay more for a charger and you'll have your warranty.
I got my Galaxy S2 from Ebay, brand new and unlocked for much cheaper than they were going retail at the time. It's just a matter of timing sometimes :)
