The British Government has published statistics on British tourists abroad. Their statistics show that Thailand recorded more British deaths per thousand British visitors than any other destination.
ICover records claim statistics for travel insurance. They lump Bali in with the Pacific rather than Asia for premiums. Pacific premiums are lower than Asia premiums. Their logic is that they have a worse claims experience for visitors to India, China and Japan than visitors to Bali. Therefore, they have decided to charge a lower premium for visitors to Bali.
