We have flown from Melb every year for the last 5 around Oct to Dec and generally have got our flights on special in April or May.
Maybe its too late?
One thing that does come to mind is that I cannot remember the last time we got on a plane to Bali that wasn't full. The airlines are obviously now great at managing their flight loads and don't need to offer many specials to maximise their revenue?
