If they are Balinese and are still following traditional beliefs they will not want bunk beds as anything below you is Kelod and carry's negative connotations or evil and no-one will sleep on the lower bunk. Modern Balinese can still be just as superstitious, best to ask as Western good intentions can sometimes not work in the Balinese world. Nice gesture but just check first and be 100% sure as they may just say yes to be nice, as they often do and then not use the lower bunk.
