Fuel did go up by a hell of a lot.

It was 4500rp per litre one day, next day 6500rp per litre.

So, you need to allow that % of rise just to cover the fuel.

In addition to that, due to fuel prices (and probably Ramadan) prices of all other goods have gone up a hell of a lot too. My wife (Indonesian) is over there at the moment and is shocked and very worried about the new price of everything. Chili's - were 20,000 per kg, now 40,000 per kg.

Everything is going up ridiculously, so the driver will need to put his prices up so he can still afford to eat etc.

Yes... they are probably making a bit extra too, but don't they deserve to? They are actually lucky they are in a position to be able to decide how much they earn. Whereas most salaried workers will be notably poorer due to the fuel price rise.
