Spent a couple of days - tracking down what can best be described as an embroidered flowery bag with pom poms for VS's daughter. Found a number of stores with them - high prices! Turns out they are actually from Thailand but the look is all the rage with the young girls back home. Some were $100 and not budging on price. I personally think they are hideous but then i remember my collection of tie dye velvet bags when i was 18. Yep...i had hideous bags once too! Went to Unagi - wow. i have been to Geneva loads but this place trumps it big time. Much cleaner and way more to choose from.
We are all having trouble with our pronunciations at this point - my lovely sweet Indonesian friend Putu has trouble with pronouncing 'Sheet' - comes out alot like 's#$t'. So for around one hour walking along street, she is loudly trying to say 'sheet' - a few other locals start trying to say 'sheet' as well. I on the other hand believing i have mastered my Bahasa -have boldly asked for crispy pe*&s instead of duck. Damn, and i was sure i had conquered that one!!
In Bintang supermarket and find VS carefully examining an egg carton.
Me: What are you looking for?
VS: Use by date
Me: oh dear !
Yuni -Happy Tailor Bali - came back to do fittings - everything looks amazing. Just a few adjustments as expected but WOW!
Ate at Mades Warung. Food good and cheap Nasi and Soto Ayum but the price of the cocktails! 100.000 rp each! A little steep from what i remember?
Also ate at Mozerella by the Sea -alway good food, atmosphere and drinks which don't break the bank.
Trip in Taxi home and yes ...hello...there is it is....the snorter' is back!!! I seem to always encounter the snorter. i hate the snorter .
Thankfully VS luckily has the front seat -as apparently not content with leaving it in his nose -he is all nose and fingers!!
I am talking (as usual) in the back seat and keep saying 'disgusting'... 'only tip he is getting is 'use a tissue". i paid -now i have booger change. Should have shut my big mouth.

Everytime i come to Bali - i keep on learning new things.

Me:
1 Don't order cripsy p%$#s- it's not polite
2 The dollar has dropped:( But service charges are alive and well everywhere!
3. I ...apparently still look like Rhonda

VS:
1. No use by dates on most food in Bali
2. No rules in Bali- except when a Tourist hires a motorbike.

Putu.

1 It's pronounced sheet not s^&t
2. There are lots of rules in Australia
3. Most Australian's don't dress up our dogs in outfits.

Made:
1. Aussies are still a crazy bunch. But 'lots of fun'
