we just brought back 9 paintings, ranging from medium through to quite large, large being 1.8m x 1.2m. because we had so many we had them all taken off the frames and the frames dismantled. We brought plastic cylinders from the plumbing shop and cut it into lengths to fit the paintings and them taped them all together and made a handle - easy to transport and no damage. The pipe was 80,000 for a 4m length and they lent us a saw to cut it up then and there. We also brought all the frames home just taped up with a bit of brown paper over them, so it was easy to just nail them all back together when we got home, if you bring the frames home just remember to check all the wood for borer.
Our painting ranged in price, the 2 largest and 1 medium cost total of 900,000. our single most expensive one was 500,000 but I love that one. the others ranged in price from 70,000 - 350,000. We brought art from Ubud, Sukawati and the markets at the elephant caves. I guess pricing depends on how much you love it and how much you can bargain :)
