Day 11:
Hubby woke up feeling better, so chanced breaky before we headed over to see Mad Dog and the characters at Rainbow Cafe. It would appear hubby jumped the gun: we head back for his toilet... Finally he is desperate enough to listen to me and try the norit - according to him they are witch-doctor herbal remedies... But I tell you, there is something to be said for those old-fashioned charcoal tabs.
I head over to Briella spa to while away some hours.
When i get back, hubby is well enough for 66 cafe for Friday Night football.
Day 12:
Update on the swell - scratch Maroochy and replace with Mooloolaba. It's flat as, baby. Saving it up for the rip curl pro, I expect.
Over to Eldewiess for a quick fitting - dress too loose, pants too tight, skirts just right. No problem, come back at 5.30 for second fitting. I am in love with the dress and jacket - beautiful dusty pink, a deviation from my normal black, grey or pin-stripped ensemble... Might have to get another one.
Down to kuta central, pulled up by polisi on way for a licence check. Dude looked like he'd stepped straight off the Chips set. Had to stiffle a little giggle lest he thought I'd been on the mushrooms or similar... Thank you RACQ for Itl licence, 30 bucks well spent...
Hubby is desperately seeking a steamer (wetsuit). No luck - most shops don't stock ek-ek-el (or as one lady said, you not ek-ek-el, you ek-ek-ek-el!). Any one got any tips? Coffee at Gloria jeans, which has excellent wifi, before trundling back to ketut's. 50 bucks sees me with 7 complete outfits plus a frock for sister1 and some genuine imitation t-shirts for the kids (the Unit ones with the booby-girls on the front. I can already hear them telling me to grow up.... Btw, they are 22 and 19). They are so lucky I'm here spending their inheritance.
Sunset BT's before dinner at Jadi. Dare I say, even better then last time, if possible. Met a lovely there from Canberra, whom we proceeded to talk her ears off.... Poor dear was probably there for some solitude and time out. We were fascinated to see a Canberran in Bali - our first one:)) btw, if you're heading to Jadi, Sheree is partial to a drop of Jacobs Ck Shiraz. Better than a tip, take her a tipple and shel'll love you forever.
Is it just me, or is booze starting to become widely (and relatively inexpensively) available in Bali? Don't think I'll bother smuggling the 2L goon-bag next time ;)
