His is he first time we didn't go to Munduk and I think we feel a bit glum we didn't .being on a ridge, the traffic noise is a bit much, but is worth it for: hearing someone every night playing rindik above us. For the beautiful walks through the farms. The waterfall is ice enough, but there is more than one, find the other ones, too. The walk to lake tamblingan, but you will need a guide. The walk to the giant banyan tree ( we can find it on our own, now). Munduk is , as I mentioned, on a ridge, and you can make up your own walks on either side of it. It affords beautiful views.
We also really like Bangli, but accommodation is primitive, so if you need comforts, maybe not. and our experience of Sideman was creepy, we felt unsafe and our impression was that the tourist industry : was run by mafia: we ended up high tailing it out of there, but others have enjoyed their time there.
Tirta GAngga was another lovely place to hang for a few days and explore the surrounds.
Maybe this gives you some ideas.
