Day 6:

Finally - shopping and spa day. There was talk of waterbom, but we just couldn't muster the energy. Forgot to mention, 9 of us in our group: self and hubby; sister 1, hubby 1 and 3 kids all 20-something; sister 2 and hubby 2. All other sisters and our children have forsaken us this trip! Kids have taken to telling us we're 40-something, not 14.... Stick-in-the-muds...

Hubbies collective dash off to Ketuts. According to them this is the only way to shop in bali. Pussies. Sisters-all explore day spa menus: massages, scrubs, facials, pedis, haircuts, reflexology, ear candling - we tried it all! Will report later on faves.

Cabs to discovery (big sales for Ramadan) then Bali Garden for Dinner. Stayed here a week last year and highly recommend Boardwalk for cocktails and light meals.
Farewelled hubby1 from BG who had to return to Melb.

Day 7:

I better start on my list of jobs today. Geneva. Bits and pieces for home plus a few requests from girlfriends. Sister 1 left some of her stuff behind. Will have to go back and see if I can get it for her.

Bluebird to matahari. Bought some suitcases (you guessed it - for that bonus 40kg of luggage!)... 70% off :)) Paid roughly $66 aud - same polo suitcases were on special at myer before we left for $179!

Back to Boardwalk cafe for light lunch (well, we were in the area!).

Biku for high tea. Great fun playing ladies (yes, even hubbies had fun) and prices vey reasonable. High tea Rp 95k++, readings 100k for 15 mins but couldn't get in.

Walk along beach home via Potato Head - just had to check on the Beautiful People.
Sunset BT's on the beach and some 'home shopping' as sister 2 calls the beach vendors. Bought sunnies for god-daughters. Ray bans 20k, Oakleys 30k. Sister 2 bought a painting 100k, leather necklace w big silver heart 30k, beaded trees 50k - never seen these before, they are beautiful, colourful and just make you feel happy when you look at them. Customs better let me keep them or I'll very quickly get unhappy!!

Dinner at Jadi Cafe. Every bit as good as the reviews say. Sheree cooked hubby chicken soup especially for him. He's crook in the guts. Must've swallowed too much telaga Waja water...

Rate has been steadily decreasing around 9200-9000.

Knee a bit better today. Must be the r'n'r - finally...

Day 8:

More jobs to attend to. Off to Eldewiess Taylor for some suits. 3 ladies suits - 1 dress and jacket 2x pants, skirt and jacket all in Italian wool or wool/silk for 3.9mil. More Rp than usual, but I was very selective with the fabric.

Do I have time for a quick massage? Of course!

Spent afternoon lazing by pool before sunset BT's and dinner at Garlic Lane restaurant. Staff, cocktails and ambience fabulous. Food was pretty average.
