Hi Rae, we didn't use a tour company. We use any of the random tour booking desks that seem to be located every 20 meters along most streets. This time we've had to work really hard on the prices - most vendors, drivers and cabbies are feeling the pinch of fuel price increase. In addition, the Aussies seem to be a bit tighter with their cash with exchange rates heading steadily south.

I did ask Gundeck at Motama to organise the volcano tour for me, given we wanted to do it within 12 hours of arriving in bali; I did tell him how much we were willing to pay, but you will get this same price inc transfers from kuta. I did appreciate it just being the two of us in the group. Other groups were in lots of 6 - 8.

One thing I have learned over the years is not to book tours over the net - much, much cheaper to do it in person when you arrive.
