Been in Kuta since Saturday and yes it is quiet.
Lots of local tourists.
Melaty Spa on Jalan Bakung Sari No 18 - is a fabulous find been there each night with hubby and yesterday even went twice (hair spa). I could (actually do) spend hours watching the huge fish in the tank - service is excellent and staff exceptionally well trained - it's all the little things that count. Extremely clean and professional. Love the loyalty card - have 6 get one free.
Not had a bad meal although we felt Mama's on Jl Legian was tired - menu in particular - have had better there before. Thank you to the older European Lady that ruined our meal by smoking and holding her fag as close to us as possible - no concern for others. Didn't want the smoke to upset her female dining companion BUT hey what about US!
Enjoyed the Townhouses in Kuta BBQ night - although the few young Aussie behaving badly gives the whole area a bad name. My view (but maybe it's my age) if you're going to wear a short skirt then wear it and stop pulling the damn thing down every 2 seconds........actually turned out to be a cheap meal in comparison.
Giving blood this arvo as I am RH negative and badly needed here.
One restaurant that really deserves a mention is Garis Garis on the beach side down past discovery shopping centre - opposite the Rani Hotel I think ( as opposed to the Bali Rani) excellent service and the lemon crispy chicken was to die for............
Traffic terrible but HEY we are in Kuta - peak season so what do you expect..........
Shopping sales everywhere - so I'm happy........
JIL rate on the street Rp 9050 but with your impending arrival I will assure with the money Gods that it must go down - just for you and Mr JIL
Weather superb and it poured last night while we were at the spa but who cares as we're in Bali..........
Moving to Pemuteran over weekend so may update after that!
Off shopping...........AGAIN!
