We are here now (family of 5) in a 3 bedroom suite with a private pool. It is on the golf course side, so not too noisy.

Our suite is not tired and run down. Quite the opposite. It is great and most of the staff have been super friendly.

If you are after rest and relaxation, without children, then I suggest you stay so e where else though. The pool is busy with children having fun, splashing and shouting. I have no problem with that - good for them. But if I wanted to rest and relax, I would do it bug our private pool and not out there.

I would suggest that most people staying here are families.

As to the cleanliness of the grounds and room - our room is cleaned daily to the highest standards. We are fussy too! Grounds are well maintained - I saw them scrubbing the concrete paths the other day.

As to the distance to the beach - it is a 10 minute walk to the Novotel's private beach club or a 3 min (bumpy) shuttle ride.

I would not stay here if I was not qtravelling with children. You might like to consider the Mulia, or if price is an issue, perhaps Courtyard Marriott, which is next door to Novotel (but also not on the beach). The Ayoda is across the road from Novotel and beachfront and looks amazing (from the outside).

Hope this helps.
