It is actually illegal for a foreigner to work in tourism and hospitality, as government is actually clamping down on those that currently are. To work her you must :
a. Have an Indonesian company sponsor you and applies for a working permit through Manpower Indonesia. $US 1200
b. Prior to this obtain a Kitas. Rp 4,500,000
c. not to be seen to be taking an Indonesians employment that some is qualified to do.
d. Most working Kitas holders are in Engineering, teaching, Quality control or other specified professional qualification.
e. Even in these positions you are unable to work with tools, serve customers or anything else, you are strictly employed to supervise, teach and direct staff and others.
