As you might have seen on forum, Amed is a beautiful spot to snorkel but a 2 1/2 hr beautiful trip north and a beautiful place to stay. I've never snorkelled the reef off sanur so can't comment. I prefer shallow water and coral straight off beach, especially out front of Pondok Vienna and in Jemaluk bay in Amed.
