Hi there, I work at Bankwest and travel to Bali frequently and use my MasterCard debit card to withdraw cash.
Just make sure when you are overseas to press 'CREDIT' instead of savings or cheque and you will be fine.
Busdriver is also correct to let you know to contact the bank on 13 17 19 and let them know you will be using the card overseas.
Cash is still the cheapest way to have money though as most ATM withdrawals overseas(depends on your account type) have charges. Check with the bank first if you have the best account for travelling.
