I recently got married in Bali and one of my biggest concerns for our big day was making sure we had a good photographer. After all, it's not something we plan on doing again and I've heard plenty of horror stories about newly weds being upset and disappointed about their photos (even in Australia).
Veli photography was recommended to me through my travel agent. He has a facebook page and I was very pleased with what I saw (although I did worry that the only photos he'd posted were the exceptionally good ones).
We opted to have both photography and videography because some of our family members were unable to get overseas for our Wedding.
While my partner was initially a bit concerned about the cost, he is now very happy we paid a bit extra because what we got back is AMAZING!!!
Wedding photos are usually pretty expensive anyway, but with Veli we got back over 800 edited photos all on a CD so we could make further alterations if we wanted to (but we haven't had to anyway). We have also been able copy all of the photos onto usb sticks/CD's for guests and family and we dont have the added cost of having to order each individual photo through the photographer - we can just get them printed off ourselves! We have even put together our own photobook and ordered canvases!
As for the video...it's amazing!! Fully edited and with music playing in the background. He's even put together a shortened preview which is a lot like a music film clip but with our own Wedding featured. Everyone that has seen it is very impressed and full of praise for Veli.
Veli and his staff were very professional and knowledgeable. He even gave me some handy tips to use during photos to prevent the dreaded double chin!! We got married in the off season (March) and Veli was so quick with his work that he met us at the airport on our way home (10 days later) to give us our photos and DVD. We couldn't believe it!!
We most definitely recommend Veli Photography!! We couldn't be happier with our Wedding photos and video and I'm so glad he was recommended to us!! However, if your'e getting married in Bali in the peak season make sure you get in quick - he does book out quickly!!
