Hi there, we stayed in Villa Coco which is not far from Dyana, we absolutely loved our stay there but mozzies where unbearable. Coco tried to manage as best they could, constantly spraying, coils burning 24/7, fumigating a couple of times a week instead of weekly or monthly, around 4pm everyday staff would come in and check coils where still burning and leave more behind, sprayed and placed netting around our beds and made sure all bathrooms doors were closed. We sprayed Bushmans repellent, nothing at all helped. My sister and myself got attacked like you wouldn't believe, fortunately for my mother the mozzies don't like her so she was fine. We loved Coco, the mozzies didn't wreck our holiday but annoying. The second week we had a booking down the other end of Seminyak (next door to Potato Head [Villa Ria]). Did not get bitten once. The Villa wasn't as open living as Coco but after a couple of days we did leave glass doors open for easier access to our pool which we used every single morning and evening and midday if we were home. Ria has a large bird bath outside near the pool full of green plants and flowers that only bloom in the sunlight, staff said this plant was to attract the mozzies and other insects and then eat them, maybe thats the trick, worked for us. Hope this helps.
