We stayed in a superior suite on the 2nd floor in June and didn't notice very much noise at all. I don't know the room number but we were opposite the restaurant and reception so maybe the standard rooms which were in front of us blocked some of the noise. The pub didn't appear to be open every night and seemed to close about midnight most nights from memory. I must admit the pool was a bit of a let down for us. It's small and although it looks green it was cleaned every day and chlorinated every night. Our problem was at there wasn't any sun around it if you wanted to get a suntan and being June and the fact it was shaded on all sides the water was rather cool. The staff however are extremely friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate and quite delicious.
Have you looked at the Lokha further up the street. I was tempted to move there, only because of the pool, but my 17yo daughter wouldn't let me as she loved the staff and didn't want to offend them.
