I haven't stayed in Sanur yet so can't make comment but we have fallen in love with the Tegal Sari in Ubud. Nice, quiet little place, centrally located with all you could want around you. From memory we paid about $130 AUS for 2 nights back in September. Can reccommend the walking tour with Wayan from Bali OFFcourse. He offers other tours as well, look at his website.
