will give the Cape View a try when we head to Seminyak, I didn't see it at Hardy's in Sanur. They were doing tastings of the Artisan wines when I bought the 2 Islands but only the Cab Merlot not the Classic White which is what I'd go for if I was to buy it. Hubby tried it the day before & said it was quite drinkable but I can't stomach red wine in the hot weather.
Have another look at the Ari Putri website, and check out the Deluxe rooms. The Standard & Superior have not been refurbished but the Deluxe rooms were very nice & there are pics on the website. Looks like the internet rates are cheaper than what we were quoted yesterday, USD 120 for the "Suite room" which is 2 bedrooms & a living room in between. USD 150 is the published rate.
The 1BR and 2BR Emerald Suites at the V*lla Puri Ayu are also very good. We've just moved from our 1BR garden apartment in the older part of the hotel into the 2BR Emerald today, previously stayed in this suite twice before & it is WAY better than the rooms in the older part. Good value at RP 1.6M per night for up to 4 people.
Sanur is a very different pace to that of Legian - quieter, far less traffic and a lot more laid back. I like to start off here to get really relaxed before stepping up the pace a bit in readiness for life back at home. Try it, you might like it :-)
