I opened an Bali Commonwealth account last year, all I needed was an Australian Bank account with Commonwealth, so I opened account here and got a letter of proof that I had an account. I went to Commonwealth Bank in Tuban and they emailed our branch for confirmation, we then went back with our passports and the accounts got opened, AUD, US, RUPIAH (but you have to make sure your signature is exactly the same as on your passport. (hubby could not do his the same as his passport was 4 years old, he gave up after 1/2 hour of trying and the account is only in my name now). Hope this helps.
