There are quite a few others from BTF we met there, but I did forget to mention my fondest memory of the KP was with old Bruce and Shirl...both were well into their 80's and accompanied us to the KP several times.
He was ex RAAF, a retired Australian bank manager in Fiji, natures gentleman, a laugh a minute and both he and his wife Shirl turned a few heads at Ku De Ta when they both ordered Bintangs for breakfast.
Some of the comments from old Bruce;
After he and Shirl rode the largest elephant at Taro park "We felt like 2 little monkeys trying to have sex on a soccer ball"
When Johnny Silver (ex Pub, Poppies 1 and everywhere else) tried to sell old Bruce No 1 Silver that will last forever, Bruce replied " Mate I am that old I don't even buy green bananas any more just in case I'm not around by the time they ripen"
Alas Bruce is no longer with us and Shirl is virtually house bound.
The worst memory from KP" That thieving bastard in the little shop next door (beach end ).
