Never bothered with it before, seems outrageously expensive for a six hour flight. But this time we were offered an upgrade for $200 each and given it was a night flight back we gave it a go.

Seats were definitely more comfortable and I actually got about three hours sleep. Service was good and if getting adressed as Mr.... and Mrs... is important to you it's great (I couldn't care if they call me fat boy).

Food was fair dinkhum appalling. It's not at all difficult to cook some nice wet dishes that heat up, but this stuff wouldn't sell at a Shopping Centre Food Hall for a dollar a bowl.

At the normal premium of $400 to $600 each way I'd be aghast. For $200, well maybe, but I doubt we'd do it again, that's a lot of dough, by Bali standards, for three hours sleep.
