In 1993 I was amazed by the amount of rubbish, on the Beach streets everywhere and I do not think the it is getting better or worse. Certain area's are worse than others. The upmarket Seminyak seems worse than other places.
The latest addition was a 3 wheel motorbike rubbish cart, (Brand New) was in the Kuta streets 3 weeks ago. Emptying the street bins etc.
Remember the villages are responsible for their own rubbish etc. Usually once a month they get together for a village cleanup and it usually gets dumped in a heap awaiting disposal. The problem is who cleans between the villages. It is not done very often.
