We have had to use this service twice for medical reasons - once a dislocated elbow when I fell and the other was another medical issue the following year. The claims were paid (less the $200 excess - I think the excess this year is $250) within three days of having submitted my claim forms with all the details. Stipulation is that you have to pay for your travel with your gold card. We had to pay up front for the medical costs and claim them when we returned home. Would always use this insurance as it is underwritten by Zurich.
