The place seems to have gone down hill again, from my limited experiences there.
I went a few of times in August last year and all experiences were good. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - all meals were enjoyable and the new owners were present and friendly without being fake like the previous ones.
Went back last March once. I'd been on a very long walk and was hot and tired and figured I'd have an early-ish dinner. Sat down at a table for near on 10 minutes while a waitress played with a child at the next table and not one person approached me with a menu or even acknowledged my presence. I couldn't get anyone's attention and not for lack of trying. I got up and walked out.
Went again in October just gone (not my idea, but I was with others who wanted to go). Food was nice enough, but we didn't order much as it was just a light lunch. Service was average and it was very difficult to get anyone's attention to order more drinks etc.
Both the last two visits, the owners didn't seem to be present at the time. I wonder if that's anything to do with the dismal service?
