when we first started going and visiting places about 20yrs ago we never announced our visits as we wanted to see what they were like all the time not all spruced up for visitors.We went to Hope Childrens home where we were graciously welcomed in and had a drink and talked to the children and looked about.My thing was a check of ti olets and bathrooms and they were spotless.
When we visited Tuka we were left to wait then a nun came out and collected our donations ,we were asked to sign the book and then goodbye.Not very welcoming .Have never been back.Have taken family to Hope over the years and always warmly welcomed.
Just depends i suppose who you meet.
