The most that you can give is cash. In weddings, it's really hard to tell weather the couple needs a new something something as we don't even know what's inside their home, what kind of design they would like to put and what they really need.
When you give cash, they will have the liberty to buy anything that they wanted out of it and it will be more helpful.
Don't stress yourself over this. Just follow your heart on what you really want to give to them and once they feel the sincerity of the gift, for sure the newly wed couple will be more than happy with it.
