If you want the traditional market in TB find Utari or her husband Madawa either in the restaurant or Coco's at Novotel. Utari shops at the traditional market every morning and I'm sure she would show you around but be warned it is an early morning gig.
There is an Arts market next door to Melia Benoa which is well worth avoiding pricewise.
Top end of jl Pratama at the traffic lights where it joins the by pass there is an early morning market on the right hand corner, on the left past Tropical Restaurant before the Nusa Dua gates there is a small market in there.
Very safe for kids at the Dolphi club, Padma is very good.
