from the Semara Spa menu...

"Perfect for jet lag, insomnia, fatigue, stress or headaches" (I can vouch that it works for all except the jet lag - don't get that coming from Perth!!

"Treatment begins with an Indian head massage of head, scalp, neck & shoulders to stimulate & re-energise. Then carefully directed oil flow creates a meditative effect, leaving you feeling calm, rebalanced and divinely tranquil and serene".

The uyurvedic treatment at Semara was a little bit different than the one I've previously had (at Bali Botanica in Ubud). Instead of just leaving the warm oil pouring in a thin stream directly on the third eye, the Semara therapist directed the stream in a zig-zaggy pattern on the forehead and in lines through the scalp. I much preferred the one at Semara - I literally had a third eye after the one in Ubud, the oil was quite hot & it left a red dot on my forehead where the oil hit it LOL. Price was RP 600,000 for 1 hour.

Prana spa in Seminyak also does an Ayurvedic treatment - from memory it is over US $100 but can't remember how long it lasts.
